LNG vessel verification
In accordance with Terminal Marine Manual, all LNG vessels (carriers) that intent to berth and conduct cargo transfer operation at the Terminal must be verified by the Terminal. LNG vessel verification procedure is divided in two steps:
1. Confirmation of technical compatibility (conducted before LNG vessel departs port of loading):
- LNG vessel verification process starts once the Terminal representative receives the fulfilled Request for Technical Compatibility from the Terminal User, whereby LNG vessel representative contact details are stated.
- Upon confirming the validity of the request, the Terminal representative will request to LNG vessel representative on the required information/documentation.
- Upon successful exchange of all required information/documentation between the LNG vessel and the Terminal and the LNG vessel will be declared as technically compatible and a Terminal Acceptance Letter will be issued for the vessel.
- Upon declaring the LNG vessel technically compatible, the Terminal will send further instruction to the LNG vessel on what should be performed once the LNG vessel leaves the port of loading.
- If the LNG vessel is found to be technically incompatible with the Terminal, the LNG vessel will not be allowed to berth at the Terminal. In such case the Terminal User will need to nominate another vessel and send the fulfilled Request for Technical Compatibility to the Terminal so that a new LNG Vessel verification process is started.
- List of approved LNG vessels will be updated regularly, and will include a list of all vessels which are declared as technically compatible with the Terminal.
- If the vessel is to arrive to the Terminal for the second (or any subsequent time) to the Terminal, the Terminal User needs to contact the Terminal for further instructions.

2. LNG vessel arrival to the Terminal (conducted after LNG vessel departs port of loading):
- Upon leaving the port of loading the LNG vessel representative will send the ‘Cargo Information Notice’ to the Terminal representative.
- Terminal representative will send operational instructions, including the following formats to be used by arriving LNG vessel representatives:
- LNG vessel will need to deliver ETA notices on prescribed timelines and coordinate maritime activities with Agent/ Authorities.
- A Terminal Status Notice will be issued to the arriving LNG vessel, with indication on high water slot allocated for the vessel.
- Upon reaching Pilot Boarding Station, and once the pilot boards the LNG vessel, the NOR will be sent to the Terminal representative.
- The LNG vessel will start its mooring approach, under the guidance of pilots and with the support of tugboats.
