On 25 April 2022 EemsEnergyTerminal initiated an open season process for its proposed floating LNG import facility in the port of Eemshaven and invited parties interested in capacity in the terminal to submit an Expression of Interest. In the period between 6 May 2022 and 10 June 2022 all interested parties were invited to submit an unconditional binding bid. This process resulted in binding capacity agreements with ČEZ a.s. and Shell Western LNG B.V. for a total of 7,089 BCMA. In a subsequent round of unconditional binding bids between 8 July 2022 and 22 July 2022 the remaining available capacity of 0,936 BCMA was awarded to ENGIE SA. EemsEnergyTerminal now has no firm capacity available anymore.
In the event EemsEnergyTerminal will increase its firm capacity in the future, EemsEnergyTerminal will announce on its website how the additional capacity will be marketed. The additional capacity will be offered to all interested parties. The additional capacity will be allocated via an open, transparent and non-discriminatory process, which procedure shall be priorly approved by the Dutch Authority of Consumers and Markets.
